SHEILA SUSSMAN, Senior Program Specialist Sheila was founder and Executive Director of the Center for Family Resources (CFR), a non-profit organization that worked to enhance the efforts of professionals and community leaders to add a preventive, family-centered focus to their programs and practices. Continuing with her work, Sheila Sussman is now Chief Executive of SAS Consulting, a company dedicated in its work on many social issues throughout the Long island and New York City areas. Sheila holds a master’s degree in urban studies and a bachelors degree in education and philosophy. She served on the guidance team for the National Parenting Education Network (NPEN), and the National Advisory Panel for Family Information Services, which is the New York State Family Support Initiative of the NYS Council on Children and Families. Sheila’s past honors include Women of Achievement Award (Women on the Job) and the Achiever Award for Community Service (Long Island Center for Business and Professional Women). Sheila is happily married to her husband, Martin, and has two lovely daughters and grandchildren she just adores. Sheila loves to travel and spends lots of time doing puzzles with her grandchildren and finds joy in the time they play!
