VOLUNTEERS

The Early Years Institute educates professionals, educators and the public about the importance and value of early childhood learning, from birth to eight, and brings together community leaders to make bold investments in young children to give them the best start in life.
We invite you to join in our efforts in support of EYI initiatives that help give children on Long Island the best start in life!
Requirements:
·    Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
·    Ability to conduct scholarly research
·    Ability to multitask
·    Knowledge of child development
·    Must present a professional appearance and a friendly manner
·    Must be dependable and punctual
·    Be courteous and personable when dealing with the public
·    Be self-directed, willing to take initiative, and detail-oriented
·    Respect and maintain confidentiality of EYI volunteers, partners, and donors
·    Computer skills are desired, but not necessary
