John F. Kennedy Wildlife Sanctuary
Ocean Parkway, Babylon, 11702
GENERAL INFORMATION
Summary
John F. Kennedy Wildlife Sanctuary is just west of the Tobay Beach bay side. It has a mile and a half hiking trail and is considered to be on of the most important refuges for waterfowl in the Northeast. If you're up for some hiking, bird watching, or even fungi spotting, this is a great spot. This sanctuary can get muddy -- it's a very marshy area and the trails are not paved -- so bring boots if you don't mind getting dirty! You also must obtain a pass from the Town of Oyster Bay Parks Department to enter the park.
